MC.C has launched the first ever SMS based dating service on TV 3 network. The concept is simple; subscribers who sign up to the service would be required to text their profile and the age range of their preferred partner to the assigned MTN short code (1467) to be paired up.
To sign up to the service, subscribers would be required to register by texting their sex, age range and their preferred partner's age range, service to the assigned MTN short code (1467) to be paired up with their match using the set entry parameters for the service.
The entry parameters has been set as follows : " REG F D D Your name " meaning REG for register, F for sex, D for subscriber's age range and D for the preferred partner's age range and the subscriber's name. The Age range is as follows: A .16 - 20, B. 21 - 24 C. 25 - 30 D. 30 and above
Subscribers would be then be notified by text the number of matching items under their preferred profile and given a code for only one item. Subscribers would then be required to text their message and the code for the Blind date to the short code (1467) to start chatting with their date. To get another match subscribers would have to resend their preference to the short code.
This premium entertainment service costs C4,500 per SMS
